Where the app lives

AuralFold Audio Master is a menu-bar extra. After install, look for the coin-and-speaker icon in the menu bar. Click it to enhance, switch sound modes, or open Settings. It does not stay in the Dock.

Permission

The first time you turn Enhance on, macOS asks for system audio access. Allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → System Audio Recording. Denying permission means enhancement cannot start. Audio is processed on this Mac and is not recorded.

No sound after Enhance

Play in Music, Safari, or another app after Enhance is on. If an app is pinned to a different speaker, switch that app to the output shown in the panel, or set that speaker as the Mac default. Turn Enhance off to restore the original path immediately.

Bluetooth

Headphones and AirPods can be enhanced. Radio latency cannot be removed. That is a physical limit, not a defect.

Protected audio

Some DRM-protected streams may be silent at Apple’s system audio tap. That is an OS limit.

Sleep

Enhancement tears down before sleep. It can restore afterward if you left Enhance on. After an unexpected quit, Enhance stays off until you turn it on again.
