Local data and storage
- Security-scoped bookmarks for folders selected by the user
- A local library database containing relative paths, media probe results and play history
- On-device thumbnails, playback preferences and a device-local trial clock watermark
Storage: Authorized-folder bookmarks, the library database, thumbnails and preferences remain inside the MediaFold App Sandbox container on the Mac.
Retention: Local library data remains until the user removes an authorized folder or the app container. Original media files are never moved, modified or deleted by MediaFold.
User controls
- Remove authorized folders and their stored bookmarks in the app
- Choose the destination for user-requested screenshots
- Remove the app container by uninstalling the app
Purchases
MediaFold is free to download. Apple processes the optional USD 0.00 seven-day trial token and USD 11.99 one-time lifetime unlock through StoreKit. The trial is not a subscription and does not automatically charge later; MediaFold does not receive payment credentials or run a commerce server.
